Paco’s Tacos, Pomona

Described as a diamond-in-the-rough-type spot, Paco’s Tacos customers fckn LOVE their handmade tortillas: “Homemade tortillas are pure perfection. Only my Abuelalita could make them better & I wanted to take a peek in the back to give their Abuela un besito for this tasty tortillas and phenomenal food.”

Tony’s Tacos, Azusa

Tony’s Tacos is family owned, with reviewers raving about their perfectly-cooked al pastor and asada. One reviewer basically thinks Tony’s is the G.O.A.T., saying: “I think the food got even better since the last time I went.  The worst part about this restaurant is being unable to decide what to order because everything is so good.” And I think that says it all!

El Tio Alex Mexican Restaurant, Rancho Cucamonga

The only thing that tops Alex’s tacos is the ultra-friendly service, provided by Alex himself. One reviewer raves: This is probably one of the best taco shop that I have ever been to. The staff and the owner are really nice and friendly!! The tacos were so delicious and tasty. My favorite was the cactus one and oh my gosh I have never tried one like that before. It is so flavorful and I just kept wanting to eat more and more.

Birrieria El Patron, Covina

Technicallyyyyy, Birrieria El Patron is a food truck, though they do have other brick and mortar locations. If you haven’t discover birria yet, allow us to enlighten you, cause there’s no going back after you’ve tasted it: birria is super soft, shredded beef, marinated for anywhere from hours to days, and can be served as a soup in which you dip your tortillas, or the meat can be served by itself as a taco. Whether you’re dipping, dunking, or just straight pounding (tacos, that is), we promise you’ll be fully satisfied after.

Fat Burrito, Rancho Cucamonga

Three words. Puffy. Tacos. (Dude). Despite the name, Fat Burrito is adored locally for it’s unique tacos, using fluffy, fried corn masa instead of flat tortillas. “How does this place exists without the people knowing?! I ordered two puffy carne asada tacos. Dude, crunchy outer layer, yet soft inside tortilla. The meat was juicy and the condiments were elevated perfectly. The hot and medium salsa added a kick and different level of flavor and texture. I am just jaw dropping, impressed with the flavor profile! Tacos are usually just whatever to me, but dude.. (mic drop)”

Los California Tacos, Pasadena

Los California Tacos only serves one thing, and that’s bangin-ass tacos. Get authentic, if you're feeling it, by trying the beef tongue or head. One reviewer calls them the “Best street tacos in Pasadena! Quick prep, amazing service and delicious tacos. Their Al Pastor is my favorite. So flavorful! I was so surprised by Their chicken tacos, they also were so flavorful and juicy; normally the chicken tacos from other trucks are dry and under seasoned.”
